STEPHANIE KOWAL Peacefully on June 14, 2011, our dear Aunt Stephanie passed away at St. Joseph's Nursing Home, 11 days before her 100th birthday. Stephanie was born in Pine Ridge, MB, June 26th, 1911. Her family moved to Oak Bank where she lived until she left to work in Winnipeg. Wanting to travel and see the country, she worked in Vancouver, Toronto, Windsor and finally Detroit, MI. where she enjoyed being close to relatives. At 63 our Aunt retired and returned to Winnipeg. She bought a car, learned how to drive and spent many hours of enjoyment by visiting relatives in Winnipeg and surrounding areas. In passing, Stephanie leaves her sister Lena Sereacki and many nieces and nephews who will miss her and cherish many wonderful memories of a very special person! The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Nursing Home for their dedication and compassionate care to Stephanie during her stay. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 20, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue, with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association or a charity of your choice. 586-8044
